getting started When can I visit a campus? You can visit Monday through Friday or at specific programs on weekends. Look through our events list. Who can apply for admission? Applications are accepted from high school graduates, seniors anticipating graduation, juniors applying for the ACCESS program, students transferring from other colleges, and college graduates. What is the application deadline for admission? Johnson & Wales University accepts applications on a "rolling admissions" basis; therefore, there is no deadline to apply. However, you are encouraged to submit your application and applicable high school or college transcripts as early as possible. What criteria is needed for admission? Transcripts are required for an admissions decision. Students with a "C" or better grade point average will be considered for admission. Although academic qualifications are important, a student's motivation and interest in succeeding in their chosen careers are given strong consideration. Do you require SAT or ACT scores? SAT/ACT scores are required for students who would like to apply for the Honors program and for students applying for the International Business major. SAT/ACT scores are not, however, required for general admission. What if I am interested in more than one campus? You only need to apply once; acceptance to the University is valid at any campus. How much does it cost to apply to J&W? Applying to J&W is free! How do I apply? Our free application is available online or you may contact your campus of interest for a printed version. What happens after I submit my application? Once your application has been submitted, the Admissions office will process your application and an evaluation will be completed by an admissions officer. As soon as your application has been evaluated, the Admissions office will notify you with a decision. A student will receive a decision usually three to four weeks after all documents have been received. If documents are missing, the Admissions office will notify the student requesting the missing documents. What if I have additional questions? You can... • email your admissions representative • email the Admissions office at your campus of interest: Providence | North Miami | Denver | Charlotte • stop by and chat during one of our online open houses |
