Enter Now! Diamond Crystal® Kosher Salt Third Annual Search For The Seasoned Chef. Students are invited to develop their own recipe in one of three categories: appetizers, soups and stews, or entrees. One $1,000 winner will be chosen from each category, and one grand-prize winner will be selected from the top three. The grand prize winner will be awarded an additional $1,000, and a contest advertisement will be placed in Sizzle and National Culinary Review featuring their picture, recipe and name. Intracollegiate Competition Dozens of students from the school's four campuses competed at the fifth annual Intracollegiate Student Culinary Competition in February 2006. For the second year in a row, the North Miami pastry team won their division. Providence took home bragging rights in the culinary competition. Read about the event.

Kikkoman - Johnson & Wales University Student-Alumni Imaginational $6,000 Recipe Challenge Six finalists, selected from nearly 300 entries in the Kikkoman-Johnson & Wales University Imaginational Recipe Challenge, competed on February 4, 2006, at the North Miami Campus for the grand prize of $6,000. Find out who won.
 
Jansal Valley Recipe Contest Sponsored by Sid Wainer & Son, this September 2005 contest was open to College of Culinary Arts students at all campuses; five finalists traveled to the Jansal Valley Farm in Massachusetts to create their original vegetarian dish for a panel of judges. Robert Lybrand from the Charlotte Campus won the $13,000 grand prize for his “Warm Terrine of Eggplant, Red Pepper and Goat Cheese." Read more.
 
Karo Syrup Recipe Contest Victory was sweet for four J&W students who competed in 2005 against their fellow students to win a total of $10,000 in the Karo Recipe Contest sponsored by ACH Food Companies Inc. Read more
