Chefs4Students.org is a non-profit organization that offers a range of programs for companies and for individuals who would like to provide financial relief for culinary students in need. In order to qualify for these grants, students must submit an application that features the particular school that they attend, proof of financial need, letters of recommendation, academic transcripts and a 500 word essay. This year Chefs4Students received over 1,000 student applications spread across 40 culinary schools, across the country and overseas. It is estimated that approximately 30 grants each worth $1,000, will be distributed to select students throughout the year.
In collaboration with the Yampa Valley Community Foundation, Chef4Students.org is administered by JWU alumnus Chef David and Pamela Nelson.
