Jack Aspinall '01Aspinall took part in this two-week program designed to honor Amarak's finest chefs, sharing their talents, tips and tastes from across the globe.
Aspinall, also known as “Chef Jack,” graduated with a bachelor’s degree in culinary nutrition from J&W’s Providence campus in 2001. During his studies, he worked with various chefs from around the world, including Julia Child. “When I look back on it, I think ‘Wow,’” Aspinall said. “I was very nervous.” As the current Aramark chef at Northwest Independent School District, Ft. Worth, TX, it seems Aspinall has lost his nervous streak. In charge of a range of duties, from analyzing recipes for fat content and carbohydrates, to catering food for hundreds of people at a football game, Chef Jack has a lot on his plate. “I love it,” Aspinall says, “some days it’s challenging but every day it’s rewarding.” |
