
Accreditation for Our Culinary Nutrition ProgramThe Providence campus Culinary Nutrition program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the American Dietetics Association, 120 South Riverside Plaza, suite 2000, Chicago, IL 60606 phone: 312/899-0040 x5400. The Denver campus has received developmental accreditation by CADE. Both Didactic Programs in Dietetics (DPD) meet the standards of education set by CADE. A student will graduate from the Culinary Nutrition Bachelor of Science program upon successfully passing the course outline as noted and approved by CADE. The student will then receive 5 copies of the Verification Statement as written by CADE. The student can utilize the verification, as required by the American Dietetic Association (ADA) to: apply for ADA membership, apply for Dietetic Internships, apply for state licensure/certification, and apply to establish eligibility to write the Registration Examination. registered dietitian qualification One of the career options that students may choose once the undergraduate requirement for bachelor's degree in Culinary Nutrition are completed is dietetics. Graduates are eligible to apply for placement in a CADE-accredited dietetic internship. Of the J&W graduates who applied for the internship in 2004, 94% were accepted.
