Keegan Gerhard Comments on His Relationship with J&W

Keegan Gerhard has taken part in the Distinguished Visiting Chef program and served as a National High School Culinary Challenge judge. About Johnson & Wales, he says:

"When I look at my career and what I have achieved so far, in most areas I feel I have so far to go -- so many goals still a work in progress. My personal list of real achievement is a small one. There are, however, a few accomplishments of which I am quite proud.

My relationship with Johnson & Wales University, and having had the honor of serving as a Distinguished Visiting Chef there are two professional and personal points of pride that sit right at the top of that list.

The reasons are simple. I have had personal experiences with the school, students and faculty that prove time and again that they are an institution comprised of individuals completely committed to equipping their diverse student body with all the tools necessary to succeed in today's ever-changing global career marketplace. J&W graduates I have hired are consistently the most well-prepared employees with the most realistic expectations of what a professional food and beverage environment will be.

The kind of passion it takes to be successful at J&W is the same kind of passion and pursuit of excellence that I look for in my employees. It is with great enthusiasm that I await the future of my career with J&W as a valued ally and partner.
