DenverRated the "2nd best city in America to live and work" by Forbes magazine, the Mile High City of Denver enjoys one of the country’s best climates. Nestled on Colorado’s high plains, Denver’s mild, year-round, semi-arid climate boasts 300 days a year of sunshine—more than Miami or San Diego. In the heart of the city’s tourism hub, J&W's western-most campus sits majestically on a 26-acre urban oasis.
The Mile High City offers the nation’s largest city park system with over 650 miles of paved bike trails—not to mention the nearby resort towns of Aspen and Vail that feature some of the world’s best skiing, and exciting co-op work experiences for J&W students. Denver plays host to over 2,000 restaurants in the greater metro area; museums and top-notch shopping; and the 2nd largest performing arts center in the nation which caters to the city’s appreciation for the arts. The younger set cluster on roof-top terraces overlooking the majestic mountain peaks in “LoDo”—an historic district hot-spot that overflows with 90 restaurants, bars and brewpubs housed in restored Victorian buildings that showcase the 80 different beers brewed in the city. Denver is a funky mid-western playground that values the young and the creative, and offers an exploding opportunity for J&W graduates in the restaurant and hospitality industries. |
